Farm & Market Receives Mayor’s Design Award 2024

The Mayor’s Design Award recognizes architecture, urban design, and place-making. This award is presented for creative contributions to Denver’s environment through innovation and excellence.

Bringing The Farm-To-Table Experience to RiNo

Partnering with Oz Architecture, Farm & Market, this brick and timber building was built in 1938 originally storing potatoes and recently was used as an office building – Now it is the flagship for Farm & Market, with a first of its kind hydroponic vegetable farming system, storefront, and restaurant. The farming system has an emphasis on sustainability and utilizes less than 10% of the water used in traditional farming. The 3,000 SF hydroponic farm will grow 100,000 pounds of produce per year – It is 100% wind-powered and chemical-free which has redefined urban living and sustainable farming.

A Unique Adaptive Reuse Project

Through its innovative approach to farming and dining, it sets a new standard for excellence in architecture, urban design, and place-making. i2 Construction was honored to be the General Contractor on this project and collaborate with Oz Architecture.
